Working for Evolve has further enhanced and built on my extensive experience of working with children and young people in the primary sector. Having been a teacher, deputy head and SENCO for over 20 years, I have built a knowledge of the barriers that young people are presented with in daily life and the passion to help to remove barriers to learning and push forward on a needs led basis, support for individuals to help them thrive.

Having a positive mindset has always been really important to me, and through the assessment process at Evolve, discussing and exploring ways to improve self esteem and mental health has come to the forefront in the work I do. Walking to work and enjoying the outdoors, especially the beautiful countryside around Harrogate, is a way that I manage my own stresses and I hope, through my work, I can have a positive impact on the people I work with.
