Alicia Johnson
SpLD Assessor
About Alicia
My name is Alicia Johnson, and I work in the SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) team, based in the Harrogate and Huddersfield offices. I specialise in assessing children and adults for dyslexia, drawing on my professional and personal experiences of SpLDs. My background is in specialist teaching, and I am particularly interested in the potential benefits of music on cognitive development within the context of dyslexia assessments. My role involves in-depth pre-assessment interviews, cognitive testing, and analysis of literacy attainment to develop a clear understanding of each individual's learning profile. I am passionate about enabling people to gain deeper insight into how they learn and to access personalised support that meets their specific needs.
